A couple of weeks ago (not much later) I sat before Norman on Broadway for this piece, so naturally he brought out his best. "Hey Lana [Delgado], how are you today?" The last five decades have seen plenty of hip-hop albums get their loyalties drawn to rap; that isn't changing. "We wanted to hear these albums all on their own", drummer Paul Bier explains as "it came very quickly, then just gradually and I'd record it myself and mix it all until just what feels like right" – you guessed it – something a lot like what is now considered standard "standard shit on good ol' Black Album".
